Our Ivybridge plant which has been the the home of Bandvulc tyres for over 50 years, has been rebranded as a Continental LifeCycle production facility, with new signage installed throughout February. The move sees the factory become more closely aligned to Continental’s Stöcken LifeCycle plant, which produces hot-retread tyres. Data collected by our parent company, Continental Tyres has revealed that approximately one in every five truck tyres is found to be operating outside of the correct tyre pressure window. The statistic, based on anonymised results from tyre inspections undertaken by Conti360° Solutions service providers, reinforces the need for operators to routinely check their tyre pressures to maximise the safety and the longevity of their rubber. Major waste management group, CSG, has committed to a further two years with Bandvulc, the specialist retread subsidiary of Continental, as it seeks to reduce both capital expenditure and management time on its vehicle fleet operations, while maintaining high safety and environmental standards. Continental Tyres has announced its Conti360° Fleet Services network will merge with Bandvulc Key Partners fleet services under a new unified 360° brand, giving customers unrivalled aftercare services across the UK.     Continental Tyre Group acquired Bandvulc in July 2016 in a deal which included Bandvulc’s leading UK fleet management service, Bandvulc Plus+ and its truck tyre retread business.
